As it seems the season is reaching its close once again, we make the most the last of the decent weather and head to sunny Silverstone again for an event arranged by PistonHeads.

A mixture of supercars, modified rides and track tools came out as usual to rub shoulders and flex their muscles.

The 991 GT3 seems to be in strong showing these days.

Some even took them out on track…

This Cayman GT4 looked cool in Porsche motorsport style livery

It wasn’t all modern cars representing the Stuttgart manufacturer.

But they sure look great in purple!

Oh yes, cars other than Porsche models, well how about a purple McLaren? The colour really pops in the sun.

Good day for a convertible too, the owner gave us a great opportunity to see the interior as well.

McLaren have been praised for their simplicity in arranging the cockpit in modern cars, and I can see why!

This is why these events are great, on row you can see a wide variety of cars, from the latest supercars to a JDM icon…..

…And even a track ready coupe from Germany.

I’ve really come to love the Giulia, this was on track and showing why it’s a competitor to the M3.

It does seem that Alfa have made some great looking and capable cars of late.

But then so have BMW, this competition pack M4 looked absolutely menacing.

The last generation wasn’t so bad either, this red M3 looked purposeful.

Mind you, even going back a few years to the E46 shows a great platform to work with as a track toy.

This Aventador and Huracan screamed for attention in the most Lamborghini of ways.

Although it was hard to take your eyes off of the lines on this Corvette, very smooth.

Keeping it American for a moment, this was a real beauty, for sale too! This is a car I’d love to own, perfectly modified in my opinion.

Good to see my MK1 RS wasn’t the only one!

It was great to bump into Tom, who we know from way back, who’s now cruising around in his V8 Vantage, a proper GT car with classic Aston styling.

A manual too, something he was keen to have, #SAVETHEMANUALS

All in all morning well spent.
