Coverage: Boosted UK 2016 finale

So, show season is almost at an end for 2016, and what better send off than a gathering of petrolheads and their trusty steeds than a morning with Boosted UK in Aylesbury?

October 16th saw mixed weather to say the least, from torrential rain to glorious sunshine, despite this, some serious machinery showed up for the 2016 finale.

We were warned it would be a busy one this month, so we made sure to arrive and grab a decent spot in the car park. Considering the meet informally starts at 9am, it was pretty much full before that!

This green Huracan really stood out against the grey sky, awesome machine.

Like your cars a bit more hardcore? Try a Noble M12 GTO, the owner turned out to be a MK1 RS owner too, so he’s alright in our book!

Someone brave turned up in a v8 Caterham, must have been fun trying to keep it on the road!

The rain did make for some cool photos, any guesses to what this wing belongs to?

If you said a track ready VW Scirrocco, well done!

The S-chassis boys had a good showing too….

On the theme of Nissan, this mad five door R34 skyline drift car certainly turned heads…

As did a supercharged 370z, with, as I was told, 650bhp! Madness!

I was stunned to see one of my automotive hero cars there too, done in exactly the right way, respect to the owner!

Pure old school cool!

Talking of old school, you’ve got to love this 911 in what looks a lot like Riviera blue?

BoostedUK_161016___22

Complete with duck tail – I’m in love.

BoostedUK_161016___24

When put next to its younger cousin, the size difference is obvious!

Plenty of 911’s made the trip, great to see – no GT3/GT3RS models though, must try harder!

In fact, all German marques were well represented, this A45 was sitting pretty, the red really popped.

A Darth Vader spec Golf GTI, slammed and looking mean…

…and a simple yet effective E92 M3

As usual, us Ford hooligans were represented well, although our convoy did make up nearly half of this row!

Also on site was a special car with a notable driver. Liam Doran of rally cross fame in his RS200, very rare to see!

Another rally legend, the Celica GT-Four, beastly.

I still have a soft spot for the Ep3 type-r, possibly track toy one day…

This had a huge wing and rain light, probably needed for the days’ weather!

BoostedUK_161016___60

Maybe if the budget can stretch, an S3 Exige for track duty? Hmmm… possibly not then.

BoostedUK_161016___35

I have to say that despite the weather being absolute atrocious at times, this was one of the best meets I’ve been to, with such a wide selection of cars and people.

BoostedUK_161016___17

Everyone is hugely friendly, especially the BoostedUK staff who work really hard to get this all together as well as raising money for charity at each event, amazing work guys.

BoostedUK_161016___44

I absolutely cannot wait for the season to start again so these meets can continue to thrive, I’m sure there are plans for them to grow too.
